Find Your Place on the Mat

CLASSES FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES

We welcome kids ages 5 and up, teens, adults, and families to come learn Taekwondo with us. We have classes 4 days a week, and classes are 40-45 minutes. Every class has multiple instructors on the mat, all working to make sure every student has the guidance they need.

KIDS CLASSES

Age-Appropriate Approach

Our instructors use positive reinforcement and age-appropriate teaching to help young students stay engaged and feel good about their progress. Every child moves at their own pace, and every small win gets recognized.

Kids classes are capped at 20 students, with a high instructor-to-student ratio. Our youngest classes have five or more black belts assisting on the mat. That kind of attention makes a real difference, particularly for kids who need a little more support or who haven't found their footing in group settings yet. We've worked with students of all abilities and learning styles, and every child is welcome here.

Learning the Basics

Students learn the foundations: basic kicks, blocks, stances, and patterns. They also begin learning the Five Core Tenets of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit.

These values are woven into every class, but they’re not just rules for the mat. Parents often tell us their kids are more focused in school, more patient at home, and better at handling frustration.

Advancing Over Time

As kids build their skills through consistent training, they'll eventually move into a more advanced group. The material gets more challenging, the pace picks up, and students begin working toward belt testing.

TEEN + ADULT CLASSES

Everyone’s Welcome

All ages and experience levels train together in our teen and adult classes. Whether you're a teenager looking for focus and discipline, an adult interested in self-defense and fitness, or a family that wants to train side by side, you're welcome here. No prior martial arts experience needed.

What You’ll Learn

Training covers patterns, sparring, and one-steps, along with physical conditioning. Students build practical self-defense skills and the kind of confidence and self-discipline that carries into school, work, and daily life.

For teenagers, that often looks like better focus and a stronger sense of who they are. For adults, it tends to be the stress relief, the physical outlet, and the satisfaction of working toward something that's genuinely challenging. A lot of our adult students tell us it's the best part of their week.

MOVING UP THE RANKS

HOW BELT TESTING WORKS

Testing is held every other month, but we don’t require students to test on a specific schedule. Instructors recommend students for testing based on their progress, effort, and mastery of the required patterns, one-steps, and terminology.

Students are expected to study terminology at home as well, and will be asked questions about it at testing. Check out our student resources if you’d like to learn more.

DEMONSTRATING SKILLS

Taekwondo Tournaments

We participate in tournaments in both traditional and sport categories, including patterns and sparring. We’ve had many students participate and place well.

We always encourage students to compete if they want to, and many of our students love competing. Not everyone does, and that’s okay. We work with every individual student to prepare them to reach whatever goals they set.
